Typhoon Frank( Destroyer of the Filipino People)

We had a terrible storm last night. It struck us unexpectedly with its devastating power. It flooded the whole neighborhood with its strong rain. It destroyed most of the roofs of the houses. Not even the strong roots of the trees can withstand its powerful wind. The night was terrible and full of worriers, not just for our selves but also for our relatives.

Due to the terrible Typhoon (FRANK) many places in the Philippines had been affected. Especially in Kalibo, Antique and Capiz of Panay islands, Western Visayas. In Pres. Roxas, Capiz, the water had risen 5 feet high, so many of the residents in that area fled to higher grounds for safety. Because of the flood, transportation had been difficult. So the residents used a miniboat called “Bangka” as transportations. In Antique, most of its beautiful views and places had been ruined. Frank destroyed much of its agricultural crops. So the supply of food, especially the vegetables had decreased. In Kalibo, the typhoon had broken their dam; it causes a mud slide that hit directly in the City. Many houses had been destroyed or covered by mud. Many had died or missing, especially in the City proper. Thus who were lucky to survive had little to eat and drink. Their electric and water supply had stop, due to the damaged cause by the mud slide. In the last count 154 peoples had died and 233 are still missing. The local government and near Cities had combined to help the Kalibonians. Roxas City and Iloilo City helped the Kalibonians by supplying them with foods and water to drink. They also help with the search and rescue operations, together with the local government of Kalibo.

Frank tooked the # 1 slot of the strongest typhoon who hit the Philippines. From the typhoon “Undang” who hit the Philippines in Nov. 5, 1984. From the record of the PHILLIPINES ATMOSPERIC GEOPHYSICAL ASTRONOMICAL SERVICES ADMINISTRATION (Pag-asa), Frank has a stronger wind force and greater Calamity damage, which gave him the name “FRANK THE DESTROYER” of most Filipino.

They are the native Filipino people who first lived in the Philippines. A very native round face, telephone wire like hair, black eyes, low nose, broad lips and dark brown skin.

They are living by clan or by family through patriarchal law, mostly in the mountains, far from the urban places today. They have their own dialect related from what we use. This is also developed from Itas.

They also have different living system where they considered being nomads; they have no specific or permanent address. Some are living in the caves; some are making a small roof made of wood for their protection. And some are living under the big trees. But because of our rapid increase in population our need for commercial buildings and houses also increase. To satisfy our needs for livelihood and shelter we use the natural resources like trees etc. This resulted to the decrease of the main sources of food of the Itas. So most of them are no longer living in the mountains but rather in the cities, due to the lack of food to eat, the Itas of Capiz went to the cities to try there lack.

But wish the local government would help and give then importance. Giving them a place to stay and teaching them some things for there livelihood would greatly help them. After all they are our fellow humans who also have the right live a fine life.

So, what is love? It is the force that binds us and makes life meaningful as we continue to exist in this world. Through love, we can appreciate the beauty of Gods creation. It is something that we are all capable of feeling, as human beings. We ignore it or suppress it, but when it strikes us, there is no escaping it. We all know how it is to love and be loved, yet words escape my mouth every time I see the one my heart holds dear. My world revolves around her. I cannot forbid my eyes to stare at her, looking for a sign if she feels the same way. The more I see her, the more I am falling for her…until it reached the point of no return. That’s when it hurt the most. Because my best friend told me that she is in a relationship with somebody. Destiny has stepped in and proven that we are not meant for each other. It felt like the end of the world.

Though it was hard, I knew I had to move on and resolved that moment will serve as a lesson. Ironically, this will be my inspiration to help me stand again. Still the scars remain. These memories will be with me for the rest of my life, and no matter how painful it may seem I cannot make myself forget completely. Sometimes I find myself forget completely. Sometimes I find myself reminiscing again and the hurt is still as fresh as if it happened yesterday.

Life is challenging, yet love is more taxing. It is in a league of its own, where only the strong survive. It must deem us worthy of having it, and only when we have conquered its challenges along the way can we finally say that love indeed is worth it.

You have a right to say no. but don’t get tricked into giving excuses or reasons. They give the other person opportunity to try to talk you out of your decision.

Boys are often pressured more about sex than girls. What to do? Don’t confuse sex being a man. State your reason for waiting. Reminds others that decisions about sex are personal. Hang out with teens who respect your decision.

If you are pressuring yourself about sex, you can TALK BACK to the voice inside you that’s urging you on. Remind yourself of the risk and consequences. Turn your attention to something else so you won’t hear the voice that’s tempting you.

Saying “no” to sex can be the best way to say “I love you’. People most know they are loved by caring words and actions, not by having sex.

Teens may confuse desires for touch and affection and feeling cared about with “love”. When teens feel they are in love are inn love, sex may seem more acceptable-but sex and love are not the same thing at all. Guard against misled about true love is.

Choosing abstinence allows you: to be FREE from being used or exploited, or feeling that way; to be FREE to have an open relationship with your parents; to be FREE to respect yourself and others; to be FREE to get to know another person without the complication of sexual involvement. Riding a fare swell isn’t that fun in the start, most of us would be scared. But once you ride it a few times, you’ll get to use to its pressure. And I’m sure your have a very special time of your life. It’s like your riding above the clouds. And it feels like i can grab the stars above. Oh i wish the stars would fall inside my hand and hold it tight. To see its magical shining light, to touch its glowing skin. beneath the dartnest of the night, in the swallow shine of the moon.

My army men

My favorite toys when I was in childhood are my army men. I really like playing with thus; it makes me feel really happy. Army men toys have different position and colors. Different colors mean different teams of countries and that means war. There positions determine there moves in the battle field, in which I made. To fire up the battle of my mini armies I often buy new military equipments for them like tanks, airplanes and many more. Playing with them doesn’t just make me happy but also the feeling of commanding my own army. Leading them in victory is a great honor for me.

I’m really sorry if this topic bores you, I just can’t think of what to write, but I really need to pass something. Thanks for reading it and being my audience.

The sound of silence is indeed deafening according to them, but it is the phrase for those who have neither feud nor quarrel to their friends, family and even loved ones. Literally, without real sound and silence rule your temple your life meant to be cruel and miserable.

The world of music is considered to be a huge industry in today’s new gallery. People can’t live with out music for it is one of a kind happiness for us. If there is music, obviously there is song. Music characteristic sound or melody to which is song. We tend to listen songs in the radio particularly on television, cd’s, or even handy gadgets; there are reasons why people often listen to music and hear the so called “USO” in the society, but there are people listen to music because of depression and problems in life which can relieve it all through listening to music or to the “sound of therapy” according to doctors.

As a teen or whatever stage we are, we have such favorite in life. Favorite color, food, toy, and favorite song as the column.

My family ring

My ring is special to me in every angle I look. Its magnificent design and shining white crest is enough to inspire me all trough out my life. Its dragon crest symbolizes the honor and pride of our family. I ask my father why dragon and lion since the lion is the king of the jungle. He simply replied “Dragons is mightier than lion, it is the mightiest guardian deity of our people”. I told him that dragons are just a mere creation of our mind, a fiction out of our imagination. He said that “is doesn’t matter whether it is true or not, as long as you believe that’s matter the most. That’s when I realized that some times it’s not important whether what we believe and if it excise or not. As long us we believe that that counts. It simply means that believing in something sometimes urge us to do our best.
